- Identify the desired pallet material and type.

- Steel
- Determine your typical load dimensions and weights.
- Figure out what type of equipment will you be using to transport
your pallets - Forklift
- Pallet Truck
- Conveyor System.
- Refer to each pallet’s table for fork and floor capacities.
- Floor Capacity: Also called Static Capacity. The
maximum evenly distributed weight capacity that
can be sustained by a fully supported pallet, like one
resting on the floor or stacked for a long period. - Fork Capacity: Also called Dynamic Capacity. The
maximum evenly distributed weight capacity that can
be sustained by a pallet during transport on a forklift,
hand jack, or pallet truck. - Define your typical storage practices.

- Will you be storing food products on your pallet? If so, look for
